Working on Car
Working on my 2000 Dodge Stratus today. The air vents haven't been working for a while now. Only the defroster and floor fan works (at all speeds), but nothing comes out of other vents. So, I found this video, which indicated that it was the mode door actuator which may have gone out. Went to the store and it'll be in tomorrow; 60-some dollars later and we'll see if that was it or not. I've never been too into cars, but if you want to have an older car you have to start being your own mechanic a bit, or costs to repair every little thing really add up.
It was something like 95 F today, so I picked the right day to work¡ In other news, the Green Bay Packers won the football game today, surprisingly coming back in the second half, with 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.
Will have more to write about tomorrow, including some notes from Updike's seminal work, Printing Types: Their History, Forms, and Use -- A Study in Survivals.
Figured the car out but then got rear ended... Having a car is a series of problems and expenses... But it is an enabler of freedom and privacy nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteUpdate, the car was overheating and had to get new thermometer, radiator flushed, and new radiator cap. All the fluid was leaking out. Found a new mechanic, hopefully goes better now.
